From Passion Project to Pan-African Leader
Hostraha was born in 2018 from a simple yet powerful vision: to provide accessible, high-quality web hosting services specifically designed for African businesses and creators.
What began as a small operation in Nairobi with just two servers and a team of three passionate tech enthusiasts has grown into a pan-African hosting powerhouse with offices across the continent.
Our founder, Stephen Ndegwa, experienced firsthand the challenges African businesses faced with international hosting providers—from payment difficulties and poor regional performance to lack of localized support. He set out to create a solution that understood and addressed the unique needs of the African market.
Today, with over 250,000 websites hosted on our platform and a team of 120+ professionals across six countries, we continue to stay true to our original mission while expanding our services to meet evolving digital needs.
